An etching on paper after a painting titled The Nightcap by Walter Dendy Sadler (1854 – 1923). This work depicts a man wearing pajamas, sitting at a table and peeling a piece of fruit while having a nightcap. The piece is signed in plate to the lower left with ‘Painted by W. Dendy Sandler’ printed beneath, and ‘Etched by James Dobie’ printed to the lower right. It is presented under glass in a wood frame with a wire to the verso ready to hang.

Condition

- stain to lower left edge; scratches and wear to frame.
