Item Details
A signed oil painting on paper of roosters. Signed illegibly by hand in ink appearing to read ‘R. Michelin’, the painting depicts a pair of colorful roosters interacting in front of a black background. Mounted under a double layer of white and red matting, the painting is presented under glass in a gold tone wood frame mimicking bamboo. A wire for hanging purposes is present to the verso of the frame.
Condition
- toning and foxing to white mat; paint loss to red mat to lower edge; wear to frame finish; upper right corner of the frame is separating.
