William Cox 1972 Signed Limited Edition Etching "Christmas Eve"
Item Details
An original 1972 etching on paper signed in plate and in pencil by artist William F. Cox, titled Christmas Eve. This whimsical scene depicts a good-natured, burly lumberjack man hauling a gigantic tree over his shoulder while wading through waist-deep snow. On the tip of the tree, a tiny bearded gnome hitches a ride while casually kicking back and smoking a pipe. Overhead, the stars and moon twinkle in the midnight sky on this very special, magical, sacred night. The print is numbered 27/100, titled and signed in pencil to the lower margin; float-mounted on brown ground, behind glass in a weathered wood frame, equipped to hang.
