Antique Signed and Dated Hand Knotted Persian Mallayer Sarouk Runner Rug

Item Details

A semi-antique hand knotted Persian Mallayer Sarouk runner rug signed in the field and dated 1911. The rug has a central diamond medallion in a palette of taupe, blue and red with arabesque details throughout the red field. Many of the individual design elements have outlining on the outside. The rug has a compound Herati border on a midnight field with a natural warp fringe to either end.
