Semi Antique Hand Knotted Persian Nain Area Rug

Item Details

A semi-antique Persian Nain area rug circa 1940. The rug has a diamond shaped central medallion in a palette of blue and tan with additional earth toned accents. The rug has a series of shah abasi palmettes interwoven tightly with lanceolate leaves and arabesque details on a cream field. The rug has corner spandrels in tones of cream, blue and tan. On the edges the rug has a compound border featuring a Herati border in blue tones on a tan field with brightly colored accents. The rug has a natural warp fringe.
