Semi-Antique Hand-Knotted Tabriz Area Rug

Item Details

A semi-antique hand-knotted Tabriz area rug circa 1940. The rug has a large diamond shaped central medallion in a palette of cream, red and green in the center and blue and red on the edges. The rug has a red field with floral spray, arabesque details, a palmette on either end and corner spandrels. The rug has a compound border with Rhodian pattern on the main border and carnation design on the others. The rug has a natural warp fringe to either end.
