A vintage serigraph poster on paper for the 1983 Mobile, Alabama Mardis Gras by Southern American artist C.L. Cunningham. The piece depicts historic figure Joe Cain dressed in a harlequin costume. He is shown suspended in the air against a black background, as balloons, candy and moon pies fly around him. The poster includes decorative text of ‘The Original Mardis Gras, Mobile 1983’ printed to the lower center. The print is signed in pen to the lower right, matted in red and presented under glass in a wooden frame. - minor wear to frame; holes to top center and bottom center of frame from prior mounting; no hanging hardware present.
