An artist proof serigraph on paper for The Original Mardi Gras celebration in Mobile in 1986, by American artist C.L. Cunningham. This print features an Art Nouveau style, with a dancing couple rendered in a vibrant palette of blue, green, red, white and yellow-gold, with text incorporated. The work is signed in plate to the lower edge of the poster, with a hand signature to the lower right, and “AP” marked to the lower left. This print is presented under a decorative window mat and glass, in a metal frame with hanging wire and information on the artist affixed to the verso.

Condition

- moderate staining to print; notes and design marks to print; moderate insect damage to mat; glass could use more thorough cleaning.
