A vintage limited edition serigraph poster on paper for the 1991 Mobile, Alabama Mardis Gras by Southern American artist C.L. Cunningham. The piece depicts a Mardis Gras parade marshal in colorful attire riding a leaping pink horse. He is shown throwing beads and candy against a blue, yellow and purple background, with the words ‘The Original Mardis Gras Mobile, Tradition’ printed in decorative Art Nouveau style text to the top and bottom. The print is signed in pen to the lower right and numbered to the lower left as 299 out of an edition of 300. It is matted in purple and presented under glass in a gold tone metal frame with hanging wire to the verso. - water stain to print at lower right, over signature; scratch to glass at lower right; adhesive residue present to glass; scuffing, scratching, residue and wear to frame.
