Oil Painting of a Lakeside City

An oil painting on canvas of a lakeside city. This carefully-rendered composition depicts the flat blue waters of a lake with a city, backed by hills, to the far shore and what seems to be a vineyard to the near. This piece, which includes small figures and sailboats, is presented unsigned in a wooden frame with a gold tone filet and a wire to the verso for hanging. There is a note of provenance to the verso which appears to read ‘Came from Jack Jarhill.’
Condition
- tears to canvas at upper left and lower right, with repair to upper made with duct tape to verso; dent to canvas at right with paint loss, paint loss in areas to lower left and center; dark smudges and general to canvas; sticker residue to frame at lower right; heavy nicks and wear to frame.
