A hand-knotted tribal Kazak area rug. The wool area rug features Memling guls with poles connecting to each gul with small floral accents in colors of navy, onyx, blue, tan, white, and brown upon a red field. Surrounding the field are guard borders of styles in barber poles and a diamond-box pattern that supports the main border, having multicolored octograms with natural fringe to both ends. It is unmarked.
