Five Vintage French World War I Prints

A collection of five vintage French World War I loose leaf prints. The first is a hand-colored lithograph after an original drawing by French illustrator F. Maglin from the artist’s 1914-15 series Souvenir de la Guerre de 1914, or Memories of the War of 1914, titled La Maison de Dieu. The second is a hand-colored lithograph depicting a man stabbing a woman with a long bayonet; it is not titled, but a French caption is printed to the lower margin. The third is a sepia-toned collotype after an original drawing by French illustrator Jack Abeillé (1873 – 1939), titled La Bravoure Allemande or The German Bravery. The fourth is a Signed limited edition 1916 wood engraving by an artist named Fel-Lacaille. It is titled Le supplice de la Pologne! and is from the series Visions Tragiques… It is signed, titled, dated, and numbered 9/75 in pencil to the lower margin and is matted in white. The fifth is a lithograph of an illustration by French artist Louis Morin titled Galanterie Allemande. All of the prints are presented without framing.
