Early 20th Century Amphora Imperial Pelican Vase

Item Details

An early 20th century Amphora Imperial vase is designed with a high textured relief featuring molded pelican heads and scrolls on the neck . The body of the vase also has a pair of pelicans, ‘beak to beak’, front and back. The vase is finished in gold and ruby luster. Faint impressed mark “Imperial Amphora Turn” within a medallion, a Crown and “Amphora, Austria, 15002, 40” beneath.

Condition

- small area where there is some finish loss. on the neck and base, but in good condition; minor thinness of luster to high areas, otherwise good original condition.
