Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian carpet runner. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of camel, burgundy, and pale teal. It features a stylized allover herati pattern consisting of kaleidoscopically arranged palmettes, flowers, leaves, and vines over a camel-colored field. Framing the field is a single wide border, edged in camel, and containing combined elements from classic cartouche and samovar patterns over mauve and teal. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at top and bottom with knotted wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
