A contemporary reproduction print on paper after a circa 19th-century Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock print. The piece depicts two robed figures seated on the floor. Two patterned kimonos hang on a rack next to the subjects, who are depicted relaxing with long opium pipes. The unsigned work is matted in white and presented under glass in a wooden frame with a hanging wire to the verso. The frame backing includes an informational sheet printed in Japanese.
Condition
- wear, scratching and nicks to frame; frame joints are separating to corners; small tears to backing paper; residue and sticker to top right of frame glass.
