An oil painting on canvas of a portrait of a woman by artist, Maurice Ehlinger (1896-1981). This half-body portrait painting depicts a young female, seated with her bare breasts slightly covered by her long, curly hair. It is signed by hand to the lower right margin and presented without glass in a gold tone wood and gesso frame with linen lining. This painting is ready to hang with a metal hanging wire to the verso. To the verso, written faintly by hand to the upper right corner, is a note inscribed with the artist’s name and ‘Noella, 1967’.
Condition
- canvas has lost tension; small crease to the top center edge; surface stains to linen liner; cracks and wear throughout frame.
