Item Details
An antique Art Nouveau desk with raised gallery. This piece features a raised gallery with carved pediment including shell and foliate design and with open shelf flanked by a pair of locking drawers. The gallery rises up on mushroom turned spindle risers above a rectangular top with beveled framed overhanging five drawers including hand cut dovetail joinery, escutcheon plates with drop bail pulls and framed panel fronts. The desk rests onto turned legs including trumpet and ring turnings, ending in blunt arrow feet. The desk is comprised of mixed woods including walnut veneers with pine secondary wood.
