A late 19th-century ambrotype photograph of an unidentified male figure. The piece is housed under glass and a double layer of gold-tone and textured matting in a late 19th-century gilt and gesso frame.
Condition
- fair; significant damage to the emulsion and varnish resulting in overall black areas and scratched appearance; white debris underneath glass wear to gilt and gesso on frame; water stain to the lower left corner of matting.
