Antique Quartersawn Oak Empire Style Chest of Drawers
Item Details
An antique quartersawn oak wood chest of drawers. The Empire style chest of drawers has two aligned drawers with convex fronts that overhang the two full length drawers underneath. Each drawer has dovetail joinery, metal escutcheons to the center, and updated, clear acrylic handles. It is accented to the front with curved corbels on either side of the top drawers, and by simple curl accents on an apron band in the center of the serpentine apron. The sides and back have horizontally framed panels; the back is unfinished. The chest of drawers is raised on cabriole feet and again on casters.
four drawers constructed with dovetail joinery. The two top drawers are slightly convex and each drawer has clear plastic pulls. The whole thing sits on four legs each with caster wheel feet. No marks.
