Vintage Porzellanfabrik C. Tielsch & Company Porcelain Ice Cream Set
Item Details
A five piece Porzellanfabrik C. Tielsch & Company porcelain ice cream set. The collection includes four plates and an ice cream tray with dark green fading to lighter green edges and floral transfer designs. The pieces are marked in green with an Eagle over C.T. and Germany over an arc. This mark was registered by Carl Tielsch for the Porzellanfabrik C. Tielsch & Company in Altwasser, Germany in 1845. The Hutschenreuther firm took over the company in 1918 but continued to use the trademark even after the Altwasser factory was nationalized by the Polish government in 1945.
Condition
Some wear to the paint and transfers typical of age and use.
