Vintage Spinet Style Writing Desk by Hekman

Item Details

A vintage Spinet style writing desk by the Hekman Furniture Company. The small table is made of hardwood that is covered with a light mahogany crotch veneer. The piece features a rectangular top that has a lift up portion that opens to reveal a work surface along with drawers and pigeon holes for storage. The desk features two narrow drawers to either side that feature dovetail joinery. The table features an apron with a decorative serpentine edge with a semi-concealed drawer. The drawer opens to reveal the original maker’s label affixed to the interior. The piece rests on four turned and tapered legs that terminate in round spade-style feet.
