A Japanese woodblock print on paper titled Warrior Kajiwara Kagesue, originated by Japanese artist Hasegawa Sadanobu III (三代 長谷川貞信, 1881-1963). This piece, captured in vibrant reds and blues, depicts a samurai warrior on the back of a rearing black horse, with a carefully-rendered wall of waves visible behind them. The print, which has a line of Japanese text both to the upper and lower right edges along with a round seal to the lower right corner, is matted under protective glazing in a beveled black frame, and has a string and a notation with the title, artist’s name, and image context to its verso.

- dusty throughout; debris to glass; wear to frame; yellowing tape to verso.
