Chinese Carved Elm Armchair

Item Details

A Chinese elm armchair with dragon carvings. This chair features a yoked crest with scrolled ears. Cloud-like carvings are present throughout the piece; a dragon is carved alongside pierced detailing to the back. Its arms are curved with scrolled handholds; its slip seat features carved edges and a plain, square center. Its apron is serpentine, leading to modified cabriole legs which terminate in scroll feet.
