A vintage floral needlepoint tapestry. The piece is fabricated of 100% wool, and is founded on a rose motif which predominates the central oval portion. Additional oval cartouches surround the center and are set in an of white background, with smaller rose swags outlining the focal point. The overall field is presented in shades of teal. The tapestry has selvage on two ends, and has been under stitched by hand.

Condition

- sewn edge has come undone; stain on back edge; spot; some natural warping to the overall shape is consistent with the fact that it is hand made.
