An oil painting on canvas landscape by American painter Albert Beisiegel (20th century). A stream runs through the center of the foreground flanked by verdant patches of land to either side and framed by two patches of towering trees. In the distance are scattered farm animals and white structures with red roofs. Hills roll in to the distance and a cloudy blue sky lays calmly above the scene. Signed to the lower right in paint. Presented without glass, housed in a gilt and gesso frame with acanthus and floriform top moulding and interior cove moulding. A beveled frame liner is also present.
Condition
- craquelure present throughout the painting; canvas has been relined with wax upon the original stretchers; rubbing around the edges of the canvas and frame liner; chips, scratches and marks present to the frame; some craquelure in the gesso moulding.
