Pair of Japanese Shin-Hanga Woodblock Prints

A group of two Japanese woodblock prints on paper of temple and shrine scenes, dated between the 1950s and the 1960s. Included is the print The Pagoda of Ninna-ji Temple by well-listed artist Asada Benji (麻田 辨自, Japanese, 1900 – 1984), marked with columns of text and a single seal to the lower left corner. Also included is the print The Courtyard of the Heian Shrine in Kyoto by well-listed artist Tomikichirō Tokuriki (徳力富吉郎, Japanese, 1902 – 2000). Stamped and signed to the lower left corner. Each is housed in a gold-tone frame under glass with a single layer of white matting. To the versos are hanging wire.
Condition
- light wear to frame finishes; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly.
