An oil painting on academy board of a landscape by artist E. W. Parkhurst. This Impressionist painting depicts a rushing stream cutting through a land mass, which is accented with large rocks and curling trees, with a pointed mountain seen to the distance. To the lower left corner of the composition is an artist signature. The painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- some surface wear and color loss; painting would benefit from cleaning; frame has some slight surface wear; paper backing torn to edges and stained throughout.
