A collection of three volumes from The Comedies, Histories, and Tragedies of William Shakespeare. This edition of Shakespeare, featuring an edited text with the pre-modern spelling and punctuation left intact, was published between 1939 and 1940 by the Limited Editions Club of New York. The volumes feature color illustrations by various leading artists and printers, and are bound in cloth-covered boards with an Elizabethan-inspired front cover pattern; each volume also includes the original A Shakespeare Commentary pamphlet with notes on the play and the edition. The titles in this collection are The Merchant of Venice, As You Like It and Henry the Eighth.
