Original 1951 Oil Painting on Board of a Lakeside Campground
Item Details
An original 1951 oil painting on board. The painting depicts a reflective lake lined with tall forest green, mustard, and orange trees. A small campground with a few red and white buildings sit near the shore, and figures can be seen canoeing across the lake. The painting is signed illegibly, labeled ‘Dayton’ and dated 1951 in graphite to the lower right. It is presented in a wooden frame with brushed gold tone finish, off-white linen lining, and a hanging wire.
Condition
- board is very slightly convexly warped. A few very small spots of accretion across.
