A watercolor and gouache hanging scroll on paper attributed to Chinese calligrapher Lin Xincheng (Beijing b. 1952). The scene depicts a group of red-crowned cranes. Marked to the lower left corner with a single column of black text and a three-character red seal. The paper work is mounted onto a fabric and paper backed scroll with a fabric string for hanging, a wooden pull, and an inscription on the exterior of the scroll. A pair of hanging tassels with wood beads and ‘Chinese knots’ hang from the piece.
Condition
- light wrinkling; tear to paper along the right lower corner when hung.
