A Reed & Barton ‘Run For Your Life’ jogging stick. This accessory is made of a walnut-finished wood with sterling silver tips. The jogging stick was created by Charles E. Barton of the Reed & Barton company in the mid-1800s. The wooden stick was made for people, out on a jog, who need to deter dogs or bandits from bothering them. Marked to the end, “Reed & Barton Sterling” and “run for your life ”. The jogging stick comes in a sienna-colored suede pouch that reads, “Reed & Barton Jogging stick Sterling Silver.”
