Item Details
A 19th-century oil painting on canvas laid on board of a winged figure. The work depicts a partially nude blonde woman dressed in a flowing skirt and bearing a pair of wings. The figure kneels on a rock and gazes down into body of water surrounded by a natural ambiance. The work is unsigned by the artist. The item is presented without glass, housed in an ornate gilt and gesso frame.
Condition
- to fair; wear, discoloration, dust residues, minor warping, craquelure and minor stains throughout the composition; this canvas has been glued on board; loss and craquelure of gesso and gilt finish on frame.
