An etching on paper titled Au Pays de la Mer: Douleur (‘In the Land of the Sea: Pain’) from a plate by listed French Post-Impressionist Charles Cottet (1863-1925). This heavily-rendered work depicts a group of mourning women, their faces contorted with grief. This intaglio print, which is unsigned by the artist, is presented behind protective glazing in an ornate gold tone frame fitted with a white mat and gold tone fillet, a wire to its verso for hanging.

- residue to protective glazing, especially lower right; lightly dusty throughout; wear to frame and verso; speck to matting under glass.
