Chinese Seals With Boxes and a Malachite Stone

A collection of Chinese seals with original boxes and a malachite stone. This lot features two soapstone seals in cushioned boxes, a blue on white ink jar, and a malachite stone. One box encloses a soapstone seal with a Chinese elder at the top holding a scroll. It comes with a soapstone ink well with red accents. This chop is carved with the names ‘Bill & Lou Buckler’ and also has Chinese figures. Another box with traditional latches and marked with a cartouche holds a ceramic inkwell illustrated with a traditional rural scene. It is marked to the base with Chinese characters. The group is completed with an elephant chop and a smooth malachite stone. A sheet that comes with the collection reads ‘purchased in Sichuan Province in 1986’.
