Japanese Woodblock Prints After Kitagawa Utamaro

A pair of Japanese woodblock prints after the Japanese artist Kitagawa Utamaro (1750 – 1806). The first print is a portrait of Naniwaya Okita titled Naniwa Okita Admiring Herself in a Mirror. The second print is titled Combing the Hair and is from the series Ten Types in the Physiognomic Study of Women. The prints are marked on the upper left and right corners. The pieces are matted, under glass, and set in a wooden bamboo style frames.
