World War II Steel Office of Civil Defense Helmet

Item Details

A World War II-era steel helmet from the Office of Civil Defense. This white helmet has several bolts along the outside, and is stamped ‘Property OCD’ to the underside of the brim. To the inside, nylon webbing protects the wearer and a single adjustable chinstrap holds the helmet in place.

Condition

- dents and large chips to the top; significant scratches and wear throughout consistent with age; could benefit from a cleaning.
