A semi-antique Persian Shadsar Kashan hand-knotted wool on a cotton area rug. it exhibits an abashed watermelon red field with a bold, black central medallion and pendants. Also to the field are urn-potted plants, blooming branches, and more. There are ornate spandrels to the corners in blue, and enclosing the field is a black border with colorful flower motifs. Either end finishes with a short cotton tassel fringe.
