Viking Grandmother Clock with a Hand Crafted Case
Item Details
A vintage grandmother clock by Viking with a hand crafted case. The medium sized clock features a wooden case that is stained a medium cherry color. A hood with broken arched pediment and brass finials is support by turned pilasters that frame a glass front door. This opens to reveal a face in silver and gold tone color and features black roman numerals to the clock face with an hour and minute hand. An arched area above the clock face depicts the moon phases with an image of a galleon under full sail. A plaque affixed below indicates the marker and the year 1985. The case has a lyre form brass pendulum and two weights is accessed by a glass front door The whole resting on a plinth base with an additional larger base for additional height. A winding key is included.
