Pair of Chinese Guanyin Porcelain Figurines With Wooden Screen
Item Details
A pair of Chinese porcelain female figurines. These figures depict Guanyin, the Chinese bodhisattva of compassion, in flowing robes and beaded necklaces holding willow branches in their left hands. Each Guanyin rests on a pedestal with sculptured flowers and branches around the sides, marked ‘China’. They rest on wooden bases. The lot also includes a small wooden two-panel screen with white floral, bird, and bamboo designs.
Condition
- right hands have been repair to each; light discoloration, crazing, and stains; glue residue to undersides; wear to paint finish to screen.
