Decorative Plate Collection
Item Details
A collection of three decorative plates. The collection includes a Knowles china plate titled Rhett, decorated with a screen-printed image after an original painting by artist Raymond Kursar, depicting the character Rhett Butler from Gone With The Wind. It is numbered ‘11312D, is signed in plate ’R Kursar’, and is dated 1981, and stamped ‘Knowles – America’s Oldest Name in Fine China. It comes in its original box with a certificate of authenticity. A limited edition 1980 plate by Reco, titled Little Boy Blue, features a printed illustration after an original painting by artist John McClelland, depicting the nursery rhyme character. It is signed in plate by the artist, is marked to the back with the title, and is numbered ‘15240I’. It also comes with the original box and a certificate of authenticity. The third plate, by W. S. George Fine China, is titled to the back Victorian Beauty, depicting a vase holding a bouquet of pink, cream and red roses, and is signed in plate ‘Mosley P.S.A.’ It is numbered ‘872C’ and is presented in a circular stained wood frame with a hanging loop on the back.
