Ceramic Elephant Pedestals
Item Details
A pair of ceramic elephant pedestals. The green elephant with blue, burnt red and gilt accents depicts a creature covered with elaborate materials for a festive procession. The green glaze drips down on the elephant’s ears. A flat surface for plants or other items is atop the howdah on the elephant’s back. The piece is marked underneath ‘7 LB’. The smaller piece is a white surface elephant decorated with blue red, green and yellow decorative designs, including an Asian mark on the side of the howdah. The piece is unmarked.
Condition
- larger elephant has chip on the base.
