Item Details

A collection of three model ships. This collection includes two models depicting triple-masted, square-rigged vessels active during the nineteenth century: the clipper Red Jacket and the frigate USS Constitution as she appeared in 1814. Metal plaques on the wooden bases of these models read ‘Red Jacket’ and ‘Constitution 1814’; the third model, a two-masted brigantine, is mounted on an unlabeled base. These pieces have no apparent maker’s marks.
