An acrylic painting on canvas, titled Waiting, by artist Richard Techera. This Expressionist painting depicts a nude figure seen from the back with their arm flexed. The scene is rendered with a textural application of cool, pastel and earthen tones, which are daubed and scrumbled throughout. To the lower left corner of the composition is a monogrammed signature and what appears to be a date. The painting is presented in a stained wooden frame featuring a gold tone liner. To the verso is affixed hanging wire and handwritten information regarding the work, including a date (2003).

Condition

- nicks and wear to frame, particularly gold inner edge; shallow stretcher marks and buckling to canvas; heavy foxing and stains to canvas verso suggest that this was a reused canvas initially painted with oil.
