Gary Ohmsatte Hand-Painted Wooden Kachina Doll "Knifewing Bird"

A hand-painted wooden kachina doll by artist Gary Ohmsatte, titled Knifewing Bird. This figurine, which is carved and decorated in a Zuni Pueblo style, features a stylized person with both arms raised. The surface is painted with a palette of orange, pale yellow, teal and black, featuring Native patterning throughout. It is strung with felt clothing, a beaded sash, black yarn and feathers that are cobbled together to make wings. Found to the underside is a handwritten title and artist signature.
