Semi-Antique Central Asian Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted central Asian carpet runner. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of cherry red, taupe, burgundy, deep midnight blue, and ivory. It features three pole medallions, two grounded in taupe, one in burgundy, over a red field. Each spandrel encloses a geometric floret and a flowering plant, grounded in ivory. The field is framed by a meandering floral border over red. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with cotton warp fringe. Unlabeled.
