An oil painting on canvas of a coastal scene by artist Rydnemalm. This Impressionist painting depicts a rolling hillside shrouded in shadow, with curling trees and flowers overlooking a calm body of water to the distance. The composition is rendered with daubed applications of earthen pigment. To the lower corners of the composition is an artist signature, date (1958), along with an inscription reading ‘Ortholmen’, possibly noting this as a location in Sweden. The painted canvas is wrapped over a wooden stretcher.
