Å.W.A. Painting on Canvas of an Abstract Seascape
Item Details
A painting, attributed as gouache on canvas, of an abstracted seascape, painted in 1958 by an artist signing the work Å.W.A., possibly Swedish painter Åke Wilhelm Andersson (1922-1988). This composition uses planes of flat, sandy-colored paint to render a beach-like scene under a line of mottled blue. The painting is signed and dated in pencil to its lower right corner, and is presented in a slim frame with a gold tone fillet and a wire for hanging.

- paint loss to upper right of artwork; dust and wear throughout painting and frame.
