Early 19th-Century Hand-Colored Intaglio Print on Paper "Caama"
Item Details
A hand-colored intaglio print on paper titled The Caama printed by H. Kearsley after a drawing by C. Hamilton Smith and published by G.B. Whittaker in 1826. The print is from volume four of the publication The Animal Kingdom, Arranged in Conformity with its Organization by The Baron Cuvier. Marked in plate to the lower margin with the title, artist’s names, and publisher. Housed under a double layer of gray and blue matting with marbled paper. Wrapped in protective plastic.

- slight toning to the paper; dust on plastic.
