Pellucida Dolphin and Polished Burlwood Sculpture by John Perry

A dolphin and burlwood sculpture. The three white dolphins are raised and ‘swimming’ over waves of polished burlwood. The dolphins are comprised of pellucida which is a compound of resins that resemble porcelain. This material was created by the artist John Perry. Perry founded his studio in the late 1930’s and has been creating these sculptures since. Not one is alike. The ‘John Perry’ hallmark is located on the side imprinted in copper.
