Indo-Persian Paintings and Offset Lithograph After Tingqua Guan Lianchang

A pair of Indo-Persian paintings on textile, and an offset lithograph after a painting titled Weighing and Purchasing Tea by Chinese artist Tingqua Guan Lianchang (ca.1809-1870). The paintings, appearing to be gouache on silk, depict a procession alongside a river and a group of boats filled with men, a dancing woman to the bow of the largest. Each piece, with a decorative painted border, is presented in decorative gold tone frames with wires and illegible notes of provenance to the verso. Weighing and Purchasing Tea depicts a courtyard filled with figures and crates of tea, with a tree-lined river visible through a small doorway. The print is presented unsigned under a textured mat in a gold tone bamboo-motif frame with a wire to its verso.

- light wear to frames and versos; dusty throughout; toning to Indo-Persian paintings.
